The Merri-bek City Band Room - aka the CROSS STREET MUSIC HALL - is one of the most dynamic community music venues in Melbourne. A rehearsal venue, a recording studio, a music library and a performance space, the venue is widely used by a diverse range of musical groups. With a history spanning almost 140 years, Moreland City Band is the custodian of a significant collection of historic trophies and photographs, as well as an extensive music library including vintage hand-written scores and notations, all housed at Cross Street.
